Travel Guide: Bratislava’s Historic District - Discovering the City‘s Majestic Architectural Sights

Bratislava Sightseeing Tour

The next sightseeing tour will take you to the Bratislava Castle, the Slavin Memorial, and the Slovak Radio Building.

If you continue walking from the Grassalkovich Palace area, instead of walking to the centre, pass the Staromestska Road leading to the New Bridge, Pilarik Street, and Zamocka Street. Zamocka Street will lead you directly to the Bratislava Castle. The castle is also accessible by the trolley buses Nr. 203 and Nr. 207 leaving from the Hodza Square. Get off the trolley bus at the Zamok (Castle) stop. After touring the castle you may wish to visit the Slavin Memorial. If you take the trolleybus Nr. 203 or 207, you will need to get off at the Cerveny Kriz stop (Red Cross stop). From the trolley bus stop continue walking up to the Memorial. After seeing the Memorial, walk back to the Hodza Square and from there to the Slovak Radio Building, an upside-down pyramid, located on Mytna Street.
