Location: Bratislava, short distance from the Bratislava Castle
The Slavin Memorial, a national cultural heritage, was erected in 1960 to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the liberation of Bratislava in WW2. The monument features a military cemetery, a resting place of 6845 soldiers who died during the liberating battle. The Memorial area also has a recreation park. There you can see sculptures by famous Slovak sculptors such as Tibor Bartfay or Jozef Kostka.
