Bratislava ZOO with Dinopark

Location: Bratislava, Mlynská dolina (Slávičie údolie)

Transportation: ZOO is accessible by bus no 30, 31, 32, 37, 39, 92 –Slávičie údolie bus stop. If you are travelling by car, you can park directly in front of the ZOO, at the Slovak Television very well visible from the distance.

ZOO: Bratislava animal park is full of various types of animals. It was open in 1960. Among unusual animals of Bratislava ZOO you will find white tiger and white lion. Other animals include Indian Tiger, Sumatran Tiger, lion, leopard, jaguar or cougar. These animals are located at the beginning of the ZOO park in glass pavilion along with bears and monkey. Just behind the ZOO entrance, on the left hand side you will find vivarium. There is a few minute walk to see rhinoceros, but the rhinoceros and view at the Kamzík is worth it. Bird species in the Bratislava ZOO include macaw, parrots, orange winged amazon and other species. Giraffes and hippos that you will find bathing in the ZOO pool in the central part of ZOO are very cute. Here you can sit and rest, there is also a children’s playground, snack bar, weekend pony riding. You can take a ride in a ZOO train to see other animals in the ZOO as it is a few minute walk. There are 152 animal species including 1307 animals in Bratislava ZOO animal garden.

Dinopark

Dinopark is the main attraction of Bratislava ZOO situated in the ZOO garden. It can be found easily according to signs. In the Dinopark there are huge moving  and noise making dinosaur statues. You can find here many different types of dinosaurs including flying dinosaurs, meat-eating and vegetarian dinosaurs. Each dinosaur comes with a short characteristics and basic information. They look very realistic. Diplodocus, Tyrannosaurus or triceratops are usually the most interesting dinosaurs for children and therefore included in the Bratislava Dinopark. If you get tired from walking you can sit on the benches along the path and have a rest. Children will be amazed to visit Dinopark. You can also take a picture in a dinosaur head or play a palaeontologist in sand. The entrance fee is included in the ZOO ticket.

April – October: 9.00 am – 7.00 pm, last entrance is at 6.00 pm
