Location: 10 km from Košice city, towards Podhradová – Kavečany
Transportation: if you are travelling by car, the car park is in front of the ZOO. You can also take no 29.
The ZOO includes mostly animals from Europe and Asia from 15 countries including mammals, birds, and reptiles of 151 species. The most interesting animals include brown bear, hamadryas baboon, lynx, emu and parrots. Seals and their feeding are one of the interesting attractions of the Košice ZOO. Tamarins and raccoons are probably the cattiest animals of the ZOO garden. From reptiles, you can find turtles and tortoises. Other animals include big cats, zebras, camels, goats, horses or antelopes. Košice ZOO unlike Bojnice ZOO includes lions, tigers and bisons. Don’t forget to visit seals and hippo. Children can play in the ZOO playground.
