Caves in Slovakia

Domica Cave

Location:  Kečovo, village Rožňava, Slovenský kras

Domica Cave is situated in the Slovak Karst National Park in an altitude of 339 m. The car park is in front of the cave. The overall length is 5,368 m. There are cascade pools onion-shaped stalactites, and stalagmites. Temperature inside the cave is 10 - 11 degrees Celsius. The cave has three pathways. The short pathway is 780 m long and takes 45 minutes. The long pathway is 1,180 m long and takes 60 minutes. The third pathway includes boat trip and is 930 m long. The boat trip is 150 m and takes 60 minutes. The height difference is 3 – 7 m. The Domica Cave forms a unique complex with Baradla cave of Hungary.

February – December: 9.30 – 4:00 pm
June – August: 9.00 am – 4:00 pm

Entrance Fee:

Short circuit:  Adults - 170 SKK, students, retired – 150 SKK, children from 6 to 15 years a disabled – 90 SKK
Long circuit with boat trip:  Adults - 200 SKK, students, retired – 180 SKK, children from 6 to 15 years a disabled – 100 SKK
If you are visiting Domica Cave and Gombaseca Cave at the same time, the entrance is included:
Short circuit:  Adults - 270 SKK, students, retired – 230 SKK, children from 6 to 15 years and disabled – 140 SKK
Long circuit, long circuit with boat trip:  Adults - 300 SKK, students, retired – 260 SKK, children from 6 to 15 years and disabled – 160 SKK
