Gombasecka Cave

Location Gombasek, Rožňava district, Slovenský kras

The Gombasecka Cave is situated near Domica Cave, between Plešivec and Rožňava. Past Slavec and take right turn towards Silica. The cave was open to public in 1955. The car park is right in front of the cave. The pathway is 285 meter long and takes about 30 minutes. It is easy and suitable also for children. The height difference is quite low. The temperature inside the Gombasecka Cave is 9 degree Celsius. It excels with its unique stalactites that reach up to 3 metre high. This Slovakia cave shelters many bats and salamandras.

Open from : April 1 - October 31
June - August : 10.00 am - 5.00 pm: regular admissions every hour
Rest of the year : 10.00 am - 2.30 pm: regular admissions every hour
