Location: Dolný Harmanec, Banska Bystrica district
The Harmanecka Cave is situated in the Harmanecka valley. The access point if from the road from Banska Bystrica to Ružomberok turning towards Harmanec. The closest car park with tourist sign is located on the main road past village Dolný Harmanec. The path from the car park is 1,400 m long and takes about 40 minutes. The overall length of the Harmanecka Cave is 2763 m long. Because of rich occurrence of white soft sinter the cave is also know as White Cave. Inside the cave you will find also waterfalls, sinter pools and stalagmites. The cave shelters different species of bats. The pathway is 1,020 m long and takes 60 minutes. Average temperature inside the cave is 6 degrees Celsius.
