Tatranská Lomnica characteristics

Tatranská Lomnica is the biggest area of Vysoké Tatry city. You can find school, kindergarten, hotels, post office, restaurants, Tanap Museum, botanic garden, cinema, gallery, shops, evangelical church and catholic church. The ski resort is at Lomnické sedlo reached by two cabin cablecar. Lying in altitude of 850 - 2196 m above sea level, Tatranska Lomnica is the highest located ski resort in Slovakia. Just below the ski jump there is another ski resort Jamy offering night skiing with medium difficulty skiing. There are two ski lifts night skiing, artificial snow, two cross country trails going up to Vyšné Hágy. Extreme skiing can be found at Štrbské Pleso reached by cabin cablecar. There are three ski kindergartens at the southern part of the resort.
